As an entrepreneur living with Sickle Cell Disease, I’ve had to learn the hard way how to balance running a business and taking care of myself. My first venture—a digital download store for Christian music—was born out of my love for helping others and solving problems. But I didn’t know much about marketing, follow-ups, or client retention. Eventually, I had to close it, feeling like I’d failed.
